Legal & regulatory information

The applicable rules depend on the actual activity, sample and intended use.

Research scope, not a license claim

Novexa’s website provides research information and document verification. Nothing on this page represents that Novexa holds a CLIA certificate, an Arizona clinical laboratory license, FDA approval, ISO accreditation or any other authorization. Any required company credential must be checked against supporting documentation.

Clinical testing is a different activity

Federal and Arizona requirements for testing human specimens for patient assessment cannot be inferred from a research website. Research-only activity and clinical diagnostic services must be distinguished by the actual use of results, not just the wording of a disclaimer.

Shipping, safety & waste

Laboratory chemical safety, hazardous-material transport and waste obligations depend on the actual materials and operations. A submission protocol is not a substitute for safety assessment, trained personnel or applicable shipping and disposal requirements.

No medical or legal advice

Website content is general information, not individual medical advice or a legal opinion. Do not use it to diagnose, treat, prescribe or determine an organization’s compliance status. Obtain qualified professional advice for the relevant activity.

Reports & verification limitations

Reports refer to documented samples and methods; they do not approve a product for clinical use. A verification match establishes the existence of a published record, not independent validation of all conclusions, chain of custody outside the laboratory or safety of a commercial product.

Controlled substances

Anabolic steroids are Schedule III controlled substances in the United States under the Anabolic Steroid Control Act, listed at 21 CFR § 1308.13. Compound names on this website are chemical and analytical reference information only. They are not an offer to sell, supply, obtain or distribute a controlled substance, and they do not authorize possession, transport or use outside the conditions permitted by law. Requests involving scheduled substances are handled only where the underlying activity is lawful and properly documented.

Contracts & applicable rights

Written accepted service terms govern the specific work, subject to applicable law. These pages do not waive non-waivable legal rights, guarantee outcomes or create an unsupported limit on liability. Source links below explain selected topics, not an exhaustive compliance checklist.

Official regulatory sources

Selected primary sources and their applicability are provided below. Review the actual activity with qualified counsel and the relevant authority. These references do not establish company compliance or replace a complete legal review.

Federal clinical laboratory requirements · CLIA

42 CFR § 493.3 covers laboratories examining human-derived material for diagnosis, prevention, treatment or health assessment. Section 493.3(b)(2) excludes research laboratories that do not report patient-specific results for diagnosis, prevention, treatment or health assessment. This distinction depends on actual activity; it does not establish Novexa’s eligibility or certification.

42 CFR § 493.3

Arizona clinical laboratory definition

A.R.S. § 36-451(4) defines clinical laboratories by examination of human-derived materials for the listed health-related purposes. A research peptide analysis should not be presented as licensed clinical testing without the applicable authorization.

Arizona Revised Statutes § 36-451

Arizona research & teaching exception is conditional

A.R.S. § 36-461(3) addresses laboratories maintained solely for research or teaching only if the director provides the exemption by rule and determines it will not adversely affect public health. It is not an automatic exemption established by putting “research only” on a website. Confirm applicability with the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Arizona Revised Statutes § 36-461

FDA research-use labeling for in vitro diagnostics

21 CFR § 809.10(c)(2)(i) provides research-use labeling for qualifying in vitro diagnostic products. The FDA guidance discusses intended use and distribution. These IVD-specific provisions are not a blanket approval or exemption for peptides, drugs, clinical services or human use.

Laboratory chemical safety

Where its scope applies, OSHA’s laboratory standard addresses occupational exposure to hazardous chemicals, including a written Chemical Hygiene Plan, exposure controls and employee information and training. Its applicability depends on actual laboratory use and operations.

29 CFR § 1910.1450

Transport classification & packaging

DOT requirements depend on the hazard classification of the shipment, including any hazardous solvent, dry ice or infectious material. A peptide name alone does not determine the classification. Category B infectious-substance packaging under § 173.199 applies only when the shipment meets that classification; do not automatically label peptide samples UN 3373.

49 CFR Part 173 · including §§ 173.134 and 173.199

HIPAA applicability

45 CFR § 160.103 defines covered entities and business associates. For a health care provider, the covered-entity definition includes transmitting health information electronically in connection with a covered transaction. Research activity or a laboratory website alone does not settle HIPAA status; contractual and other privacy duties may still apply.

45 CFR § 160.103

Hazardous waste determination

Waste obligations depend on the waste and generator activity. Under 40 CFR § 262.11, generators must make applicable hazardous-waste determinations. Sample disposal is not automatically ordinary waste disposal because the original material was for research.

40 CFR § 262.11

Anabolic steroids are Schedule III substances

Anabolic steroids are controlled substances in Schedule III under the Anabolic Steroid Control Act, listed at 21 CFR § 1308.13(f), with additional substances scheduled through the Designer Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 2014. A compound name on this website is chemical and analytical reference information only. It is not an offer to sell, supply or obtain a controlled substance, and it does not authorize possession, transport or use outside what applicable law allows.
